tips for resa year 3
1. RESA Guides: Read the RESA Participant Guide and RESA Instrument before you start Year 3 so you know what the tasks and the rubrics require.
2. Follow the RESA calendar: Follow the RESA calendar in the RESA Instrument. Start gathering your instructional evidence and videos as soon as you being teaching in Year 3, or at any time during your ResEd program. Submission window opens September 15. Cycle 1 and Communication/Professional Growth tasks are due December 15. Cycle 2 and Formative/Summative Assessment tasks are due February 15. Don't wait until the last minute to submit! Give yourself extra time in case of technical or unexpected problems.
3. Start videotaping right away: Your videos for the RESA tasks can be made anytime during your ResEd program. By videotaping yourself and your students on a regular basis, you'll all become comfortable in front of the camera. When the window opens to upload your videos for the RESA tasks, you can either use videos that you've already made or you can make new videos.
